LEIN Audit – Barryton PD had a LEIN Audit on June 15th, 2017. As of Monday August 7th our Audit was officially closed after sending the auditor a resolution to the items which needed addressed.
On 8/1/16 Barryton PD participated in Mecosta County’s National Night out at Big Rapids PD. It was a time of hanging out with families and kids from the community, letting kids play with the lights and sirens and talking to them about being a cop. This was a great experience which Officer Bielecki was part of and I highly recommend coming out next year and bringing your family.
Barryton Days Report: On Friday August 4th Barryton PD officers handled no calls. On Saturday August 5th Barryton PD took part in the parade and Arrested Chelse Kissinger for OWI 1st. Officers also responded to an assault complaint in which the suspect left and handled a missing 12 year old girl complaint in which the girl was located. The assault is still under investigation.
On 7/19/17 Barryton PD handled an MDOP/Reckless Driver complaint in which a suspect was observed damaging the fresh sealcoat which had been put on Northern Ave. Investigation revealed a suspect who handled the situation with the village civilly.
On 7/18/17 Barryton PD handled an MDOP of a car on Norman St in which someone threw white paint all over the car. On 7/27/17 Barryton PD handled an MDOP at Central Park Farmers Market in which a fence post was damaged by a vehicle.
On 7/28/17 Barryton PD handled an MDOP of Northern Ave as witness stated they had observed a white Chevy cavalier traveling west on Northern Ave on a rim with no tire damaging the sealcoat/roadway which occurred on 7/25.
On 8/1/17 MCSO handled a larceny of items from inside a car parked on Northern near Darrah st.
On 8/6/2017 MSP handled a B+E which had occurred within the past two weeks at 261 Norman St in which lots of tools were taken from inside the residence.
On 8/6/2017 Barryton PD handled an area check in which kids were jumping off the bridge on Marion near Chippewa Dr. No kids were located in area. Anyone with information reference these incidents is urged to contact Barryton PD.
