Patrol Jeep damage has been repaired and the radar unit has also been repaired and both are back in service.
New Warrant – Angela Thurlow for Fail to Appear for traffic offense.
On 8/5/2017 Barryton PD handled a MDOP/vandalism complaint at central park in which the bathrooms were vandalized and someone drove into the fence rail causing damage.
On 8/15/2017 Barryton PD handled a larceny complaint from Murphy’s bar in which a 31 year old Barryton woman didn’t pay her tab. Charges have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
On 8/23/2017 Barryton PD handled a suspicious complaint on Norman st in which camera’s were shut off inside the residence but nothing was taken and complainant believes someone was inside residence.
On 9/1/2017 MCSO animal control handled an incident in which a dog was maced next to the post office. Investigation found a 74 year old male was the suspect and admitted to the offense. Charges are being reviewed by prosecutor’s office.
On 9/6/2017 MCSO handled a larceny of a 30 ft snowmobile trailer and a B+E at Rob’s towing in which some money was taken. These incidents occurred approximately a month prior and were not reported previously.
On 9/8/2017 MCSO assisted in a flee and elude which came from Isabella county and crashed at Evergreen Rd/Costabella. Suspect Kyle Wright was arrested for multiple charges and warrants.
On 9/11/2017 MCSO handled a B+E at Merrill Lake park office in which a safe was taken and a small amount of money.
On 9/19/2017 Barryton PD handled a B+E of a residence on Angel Ave by the river of an abandoned residence. Anyone with information reference any of the above incidents is urged to contact Barryton PD.
