President James Soriano called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm
Pledge to the flag was recited
Roll call: Evelyn Jones-present, James Soriano-present, Kathryn Kerr-present, Steven Hammond-present, Lavonne Horstman-present
Public Comment: A resident of Fork Township asked if he would be able to have some of the Villages leaves in the fall
Minutes of Regular Meeting January 10, 2024, were presented
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to approve all minutes with changes, roll call-all ayes, motion passes
Bank Balances as of 1/31/2023-General Fund-$129,519.24, Sewer Fund-$216,808.38, Solid Waste Fund-$24,001.55, Major Street Fund-$128,096.80, Local Street Fund-$44,149.09, Motor Pool Fund-$20,511.48, Sewer Bond Interest-$40.167.32
Courtney presented a proposed budget for 24-25, after the principal payment on 2/1/2024 USDA Loan Balance is $294,000, Northern Avenue Street Project needs to go up for bids in the paper for 3 weeks
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to post the Northern Ave Street project in the Pioneer for three (3) weeks, not to exceed $650, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to approve the Treasurers Report, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to post the Public Hearing and Annual Meeting in the Pioneer, set for February 29, 2024, at 6:00 pm, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to pay General Fund bills with check #19589-19604, 411-420(E) for $11,814.85, Sewer Fund with check #3437-3438 3095-3099(E) for $9,374.07, Motor Pool fund with check #1484-1489 23(E) for $3,872.14, Local Street Fund with check # 13-14 (E) for $4669.69, Major Street Fund with check # 1111-1112 16-18 (E) for $ 4,921.76 for a total of $40,067.21, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Pump Station 6 still in progress
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to accept the 2024 Gosling & Czubak Contract, not to exceed $3,500, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Evelyn Jones to approve Policy #2024-01 Coin Acceptance Policy, effective immediately, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Council Comment: Kathryn Kerr asked about a Community CPR Class
