Regular Meeting Minutes
President James Soriano called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm
Pledge to the flag was recited
Roll call: Evelyn Jones-absent, James Soriano-present, Kathryn Kerr-present, Steven Hammond-present
Public Comment: A resident suggested contacting Ferris Welding Program for the cover to the well at Central Park
Barryton Police Report: Chief Morgan was absent
DPW Report: Tom Brown read the report, Tom presented Council with quotes for new tires for the plow truck, a list of parts and equipment that needs service before spring. Brian Sutton delivered the sand/salt mix
Minutes of Regular Meeting December 14, 2022, were presented
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to accept all minutes as written, roll call- all ayes, Evelyn Jones-absent, motion passes
James Soriano read the President Report: James will be sending a link to Mi Deal Extended Purchasing to all Council Members to see if it’s something Council would consider purchasing.
Melissa Lazzaro read the Clerk’s report: IT Right will be here January 27, 2023 to install BS&A on the new computer, Frontier at the barn has been cancelled, the Village will receive a credit of $5.91, the ad for the Joint Public Hearing has been sent to the pioneer, it will be published on January 16, 2023, the new parcel numbers were sent to Eric Williams for the addendum. Melissa presented Council with the renewal for Quill Plus for $49.99.

Courtney Garchow read the Treasurers report: Bank Balances as of 12/31/2022: General Fund-$158,595.51, Sewer Fund-$327,335.86, Solid Waste Fund-$42,983.64, Major Street Fund-$103,048.37, Local Street Fund-$49,648.91, Motor Pool Fund-$39,389.86, Sewer Bond Interest-$1,021.14. Courtney would like permission to pay Point Broadband, Frontier, Tri County, DTE and Consumers online. Still waiting on the items to be returned from the Farmer’s Market Master, we need to start looking for a new Market Master, Minimum wage has increased, and will again possibly in February. Courtney recommends using all the ARPA funds for the current F&V bill for repairs to pump station 4, it will be easier for tracking and reporting

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to pay General Fund bills with check #19343-19362 312-313(E) for $9,036.05, Sewer Fund with check # 3394-3398 for $34,367.00, Motor Pool fund with check #1425-1429 for $1,520.89, Major Street Fund with check #1106 for $470.36, and Solid Waste Fund with check #809 for $2,275.27, for a total of $47,669.57, roll call-all yeses, Evelyn Jones-absent, motion passes

Council would like the Trustee seat to be extended till the February Meeting
Public Comment: A resident asked if sewer and trash bills could be paid online
