President James Soriano called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm
Pledge to the flag was recited
Roll call: Evelyn Jones-present, James Soriano-present, Kathryn Kerr-present, Steven Hammond-present, Lavonne Horstman-absent
Public Comment: A resident asked when yard waste pick up starts, there’s a big pothole on 20 Mile and Perry, stray cats are still a problem
Tom Brown read the DPW Report: Tom presented Council with a quote to have the park bathroom floor re-done, needs new pipes to redo the pipes at the park bathroom, 15 new flags and 3 flag poles, and 10 yards of black dirt,
Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to spend up to $2,500 to have the bathroom floors redone, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to purchase pipes for the park bathroom, not to exceed $200, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to purchase 15 flags and 3 flag poles, not to exceed $200, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
Steven Hammond made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to purchase 10 yards of black dirt, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to accept the quote from Rob Moore to fix the well at the Lion’s Club Park, not to exceed $500, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes

Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to approve minutes, roll call-all ayes, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
James Soriano read the President’s Report: The roof cap for the well in Central Park should be done in May.
Bank Balances as of 3/31/2024-General Fund-$455,664.60, Sewer Fund-$227,295.91, Solid Waste Fund-$24,017.85, Major Street Fund-$132,242.39, Local Street Fund-$44,080.73, Motor Pool Fund-$17,941.39, Sewer Bond Interest-$1,042.49
USDA Loan Balance is $294,000, still waiting on MDOT to accept Northern Ave street bid, requesting more CD’s for 2025 maturity date from Solid, Local and Motor Pool

Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to pay General Fund bills with check #19626-19635, 431-441(E) for $8,109.61, Sewer Fund with check #3444-3445 3102-3106(E) for $3,239.30, Motor Pool fund with check #1492-1493 for $745.97, Major Street Fund with check # 19-20(E) for $328.25, Local Street Fund with check #15-17(E) for $836.15, Solid Waste Fund with check #742-744(E) for $2,591.44, for a total of $15,850.72, roll call-all yeses, Lavonne Horstman-absent, motion passes
