President James Soriano called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm
Pledge to the flag was recited
Roll call: Evelyn Jones-present, James Soriano-present, Kathryn Kerr-present, Steven Hammond-present, Lavonne Horstman-Present
Public Comment: None
James Soriano read the DPW Report: Roads have been sprayed with weed killer, Thanks to Jerrilynn Strong and the Mecosta County Parks and Recreation Department the Village was given up to 60 picnic tables, Jake and Roy will start picking them up on Friday from School Section Lake. Jim has received many comments from residents stating Jake is doing a fantastic job, he’s been able to keep up with everything, town looks good, and he’s been able to work on some extra projects.

Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to approve minutes as written, roll call-all ayes, motion passes

Still need to come up with a non-motorized project for Act 51, complaint filed for default of lease agreement, no definite date yet on Northern Ave, possibly the week after Mecosta Mayhem

Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to pay General Fund bills with check #19697-19714, 461-469(E) for $6,977.75, Sewer Fund with check #3451 3114-3115(E) for $701.92, Motor Pool fund with check #1499-1500 26(E) for $1,925.23, Solid Waste Fund with check #-7449E) for $2,340.14, for a total of $11,945.04, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to approve the Class B Grow license renewal for Vivid Farms LLC, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to pay Chief Morgan and Courtney Garchow for time and mileage to attend a grant writing workshop at Ferris State University, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to renew our membership with Michigan Rural Water Association for $400, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to renew our membership with PROTEC for $50.63
Evelyn Jones made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to make the rate of pay when a Council member fills in for a DPW worker the same as the lowest paid DPW worker, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Evelyn Jones to allow Chief Morgan to contact the Village attorney regarding abandoned vehicles, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to purchase 12 safety cones, not to exceed $300.00, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to lower the park rental for Mecosta Mayhem this year to $500 for rental and $500 deposit in consideration for the improvements they have made to the park, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
