Regular Meeting Minutes

President James Soriano called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm

Pledge to the flag was recited

Roll call: Michelle Kundrat-present, James Soriano-present, Kathryn Kerr-present, Steven Hammond-present

Public Comment: Wyatt asked Council if he and the K12 Program could plat a tree in the park in the Spring

Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to allow Wyatt Eaton and the K12 Program to plant a tree in Central Park which will be donated by Morgan Composting, in the Spring of 2026, Location to be determined at that time. Roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Presentation by Dave Porteous-Municipal Attorney

James Soriano made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to purchase the antennae and five cables for the cruiser, not to exceed $100, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Move Grant writing to December

Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to purchase two springs from Hudson in Big Rapids, not to exceed $128, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to purchase a 36v cordless pole saw and spare battery from Remus Repair, not to exceed $700, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to accept the quote from Thomas Moore for $1,600 to cut the brush and trees around pond three, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Minutes of Regular Meeting October 8, 2025, were presented

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to accept minutes, roll call- all ayes, motion passes

Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Steven Hammond to send the Vivid Farms Commercial Lease to Mr. Porteous to confirm the Village retains the property and to contact Tyler Dutcher to confirm he cannot attempt to sell the building or land, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Courtney Garchow read the Treasurers report: Bank balances as of 9/30/2025 are: General Fund-$343,061.22, Sewer Fund-$115,553.72, Solid Waste Fund-$16,855.70, Major Streets-$27,901.16, Local Streets-$33,798.42, Motor Pool-$20,321.77, Sewer Bond Interest $1,031.16

CD Balances: Sewer Reserves (53,535.61)

Accumulated Interest (Matures 6/8/26): $1,160.04

Table Village Land Lease for December

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to publish public hearing announcement in the Pioneer and set public hearing date for December 10 at 5:30, not to exceed $200, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

East River proposal tabled until March

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to have the swing set at Central Park removed, filled, and leveled at a cost of $600, to be done by Thomas Moore, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to remove the small play equipment due to the safety zone report, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
