Regular Meeting Minutes
President Kathryn Kerr called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm.
Pledge to the flag was recited.
Roll call: Michelle Kundrat, Kathryn Kerr-present, Michael Kundrat-present
Public Comment: None
Council would like to keep the president seat open for another month to see if anyone else applies.
Kathryn Kerr used the Rubrics system on the 3 applicants for the Trustee seat, they all scored the same, council asked the two that were there several questions.
Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to appoint Terah Eaton to the Trustee seat, roll call-Michelle Kundrat-yes, Michael Kundrat-no, Kathryn Kerr-yes, motion passes.
Clerk swore in Terah Eaton to the trustee seat.
Chief Morgan read the Police Report: 24 calls of service this month, most of them salvage inspections, three stops for unlicensed vehicles.
Kathryn Kerr read the DPW Report: Jake had the generator looked at, it’s in good working order for its age. We need new flags and poles, and blades for the mowers, the inventory will be updated when Jake gets back from vacation.
Michael Kundrat made a motion seconded by Kathryn Kerr to purchase new flags and poles, not to exceed $250.00, roll call-all yeses, motion passes.
Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to purchase blades from Brooks Trading Post, roll call-all yeses, motion passes.
Minutes of Regular Meeting February 25, 2026, were presented. Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to accept minutes as written, roll call-all ayes, motion passes.
Kathryn Kerr read the Presidents Report: On March 2nd at 2:00 F&V will be here to give an update on our ongoing sewer and dam project, on March 3rd at 2:00. Danielle will be here to discuss the Safe Routes to School project. The Parks & Recreation Plan has been submitted and approved. Kathryn received paperwork from the assessor to fill out to get the former M66 leased land tax exempt again.
Michelle Kundrat made a motion seconded by Michael Kundrat to accept the Resolution Authorizing Community Project Funding Application and Designation of Applicant, roll call-all yeses, motion passes.
Kathryn Kerr read the Treasurers report: Bank balances as of 1/31/2026 are: General Fund – $383,843.21, Sewer Fund – $215,103.52, Solid Waste Fund – $14,476.54, Major Streets – $37,186.68 Local Streets – $35,230.84, Motor Pool – $24,970.28, Sewer Bond Interest – $26,583.68.
CD Balances: Sewer Reserves (53,535.61) General (50,000), Solid (20,000) = $70,000, Accumulated Interest (Matures 6/8/26): $2,339.30
General (50,000), Sewer (50,000), Major (20,000) =$120,000, Accumulated Interest (Matures 2/16/2026): $5,632.73

Notes from Treasurer: Council should pick and agree on a project to apply for, for this years MET funds so we have ample time to procure information needed and put together a better application, or at minimum have a list for an idea to be agreed upon next month. Council should choose a project for this year’s park fund raiser before flyers are made as most feedback received states they would rather donate to a specific project as opposed to a general fund donation.

Kathryn Kerr made a motion seconded by Michelle Kundrat to pay General Fund bills with check #20061 – 20073 658-666(E) for $17,827.87, Sewer Fund with check #3524 – 3525 – 3156(E) for $1,155.97, Motor Pool fund with check #1529-1533 50-51(E) for $2,183.38, Local Street Fund with Check #1072-1073 for $3,116.55, Major Street Fund with check #1122 for $1,620.00, for a total of $25,903.77, roll call-all yeses, motion passes.
Public Comment: Todd Levitt talked to Council about bringing a one-day Cannabis Event to the Village this summer, Council tabled a vote on this until next month, a resident asked about when work on the dam will start.
Council Comment: Mike Kundrat donated a backpack blower to the village several years ago. Jake said it never is used, he would like it back, council agreed to give it back to him. Kathryn asked about signatures for the F&V paperwork that needs to be signed by the President – as pro-tempore Kathryn Kerr is permitted to sign all paperwork in the absence of a president.
