There will be a public hearing on Wednesday August 12, 2026, at 5:45 pm. This meeting is to hear public comment on:

Amendment to the Sewer Ordinance:

Restated Sewer Usage Ordinance # 33-2023 Amendment 1

Article VI Sewer Usage Charge System

Sec. 3(A)(1): Sewer use charges to each single-family residential premise shall be in the flat amount of one (1)REU per month in advance. Sec. 3(A)(2): Each new user other than a single-family residence shall pay a monthly charge of one (1) REU multiplied by a factor representing a ration of sewage use by such class of users to normal single-family residential use but not less than one (1).

Add Sec. 3 (C): Emergency Service Calls: In the event that the Barryton Dept. Of Public Works is required to respond to an individual grinder pump alarm outside of normal business hours, a service fee of $250 shall be assessed to the following month’s sewer bill for that property. In the event that an outside contractor’s services are required to complete any repairs, the cost of that service shall be assessed to the following month’s sewer bill for that property

This meeting will be held at the Village Hall at 94 Angel Ave. Barryton and is open to everyone. The Regular Monthly meeting will follow at 6:00 pm
